The Team
In the fall of 2001, a tradition of hockey that had embraced a region for decades was reinvigorated with the inaugural season of the Manchester Monarchs. Now, the Monarchs brand has developed its own tradition and reputation. It is one of quality, both on and off the ice. It is one of service and dedication to the fans that flock to the Verizon Wirless Arena, to the communities that surround it and to the sponsors represented there. Most importantly, it is one of unwavering commitment and devotion to be the very best.

The Monarchs are wholly owned an operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), a Los Angeles based company specializing in sports and entertainment properties. In addition to the Monarchs, AEG owns the O2 Arena in London, the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers (partner), two Major League soccer franchises and several other properties. AEG is also involved with revitalization real estate projects, such as the development of a $1.5, 4-million square foot "LA Live" entertainment district, likened to a Times Square for the West Coast.

The Monarchs have finished in the top ten in attendance in the 30-team American Hockey League in all eight years of existence, finishing first in 2002-03 and 2003-04. In February of 2005 the Monarchs hosted the AHL All-Star Classic, a two-day event that was hailed as one of the best events of its kind in AHL history. With an award-winning game presentation staff that helps entertain both hockey enthusiasts and entertainment-seekers, Monarchs games continue to be known as "the place to be and be seen" by both fans and advertisers.

The Facility
The 9,932-seat Verizon Wireless Arena is located in the heart of downtown Manchester, New Hampshire. With 34 luxury suites, 550 Club seats, a private lounge and a four-sided video scoreboard, patrons enjoy a first-class entertainment experience in the first building of its kind in the Granite State. the arena has hosted many sold-out concerts and shows, including Elton John, the Eagles, Green Day, Aerosmith, the Dave Matthews Band and many more. The Verizon Wireless Arena
The AHL
About the AHL
In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the NHL's premiere developmental hockey league. With all 30 National Hockey League teams developing talent in the 30-team league, the AHL's presence is felt on an international level. 84% of NHL players, coaches and officials have come through the AHL, including 100 Hockey Hall-of-Famers and 100 Calder Cup champions who have later won a Stanley Cup.

Attendance
The 2008-09 season saw more than 6 million fans attend AHL games for the eighth year in a row. The Lake Erie Monsters drew an AHL-high 15,408 fans for a single game against Hamilton on April 12 and the deciding game fo the 2008 Calder Cup Finals was played in front of nearly 10,000 fans at Chicago's Allstate Arena.

AHL Hall of Fame
In 2005-06, the league formed the American Hockey League Hall of Fame and inducted their first class during All-Star Classic festivities in Manitoba, Canada, in February of 2006. The Hall was created to recognize, honor and celebrate individuals for contributions specifically to the america Hockey League.

 Dasherboards
Dasherboard advertising puts your company right in the middle of the hockey action, providing maximum exposure during all 40 home games plus the Calder Cup Playoffs. Your company name or logo will be strategically located on opposite sides of the arena and easily visible to all fans. Exposure is enhanced by television broadcasts, highlights and print media coverage.
Rotational Dasherboards
 
A twist on our traditional dasherboards, rotating dasherboards provide the same exposure during our 40 regular season homes games and Calder Cup Playoffs. They draw attention by the movement of rotating every two minutes from the time the arena doors open through the end of the game.
 In-Ice Logos
In-ice logos are one of the most striking and visual forms of advertising in hockey, located right on the playing surface. Choose the location on the ice that would best suit your company name or logo. In-ice logos will be in full view of the fans at all times, while receiving additional exposure through television highlights and print media coverage.
Player Jerseys
 
Have your company name or logo move and flow with the action on Monarchs player jerseys. Receive exposure at all 80 regular season games, Calder Cup Playoffs and player appearances throughout New Hampshire.
 Arena Blimp
Nothing will get your company's name or logo around the seats like the Monarchs blimp! In conjunction with arena announcements, the blimp takes flight three times each game and can also drop prizes to your customers and our fans.
Zamboni
 
Let the most popular piece of maintenance equipment in professional sports put your company name in from of thousands of fans each night. The zamboni is on the ice a minimum of three times per game. A custom designed company name or logo on the zamboni will be sure to attract attention.
 Bench/Penalty Box
Be a part of all the hockey action on the bench and back your team with shoulder high banners behind the players and coach, or add a unique hook to your marketing effort with a highly visible penalty box location. Either way you're in the action and in view of the Monarchs fans, television and cameras throughout the season.

Pocket Schedules Pocket Schedule
Pocket schedules are the best way to keep up with Monarchs special promotions and events. Your company name or logo would be printed on over 250,000 schedules that will be distributed at games, convenience stores, restaurants, gift shops, etc. throughout the state of New Hampshire.

The Manchester Monarchs radio network broadcasts all 80 hockey games from the opening face-off to the Calder Cup Playoffs. Monarchs radio broadcasts are where the fans go to stay tuned to all Monarchs events including AHL news , Monarchs and LA Kings player movements, interviews and more. The Monarchs radio network is WGAM 1250 AM and 900 AM. All game broadcasts are also streamed on the Monarchs website.
