MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, are scheduled to play 64 intra-division games during the 2010-11 season.  The Monarchs are also slated to play six teams in the East Division, including two games against the Eastern Conference’s newest addition, the Charlotte Checkers.  The Atlantic Division has dropped down to seven teams as the Lowell Devils have moved to Albany in the East Division.  In addition, the Carolina Hurricanes moved their affiliate from Albany to Charlotte and will remain in the East Division.  To round out 30 teams, Edmonton has placed their affiliate in Oklahoma City in the West Division.

Eastern Conference

Atlantic Division:  Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Hartford Wolf Pack, Manchester Monarchs, Portland Pirates, Providence Bruins, Springfield Falcons and the Worcester Sharks.

East Division:  Adirondack Phantoms, Albany Devils, Binghamton Senators, Charlotte Checkers, Hershey Bears, Norfolk Admirals, Syracuse Crunch and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Western Conference

North Division:  Abbotsford Heat, Grand Rapids Griffins, Hamilton Bulldogs, Lake Erie Monsters, Manitoba Moose, Rochester Americans and the Toronto Marlies.

West Division:  Chicago Wolves, Houston Aeros, Milwaukee Admirals, Oklahoma City Barons, Peoria Rivermen, Rockford IceHogs, San Antonio Rampage and the Texas Stars.

Like the rest of the 30-team AHL, the Monarchs will play an 80-game schedule consisting of 40 home games and 40 road games.  The Monarchs will face their division rivals Bridgeport, Portland and Worcester 12 times (six home and six road games), Providence and Springfield 10 times (five home and five road games) and Hartford eight times (four home and four road games).  In the East Division, the Monarchs will play Charlotte and Norfolk four times (two home and two road games) and Adirondack, Albany, Binghamton and Hershey twice (one home and one road game).
