Andrew Samel Video Coordinator
Andrew Samel, a native of Andover, Massachusetts, joined the Monarchs as the Video Coordinator in August 2012.
Samel graduated in 2012 from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts with a degree in Russian Area Studies. He most recently worked as a Producer and Broadcaster for Norton Community Television.
Prior to attending Wheaton, Samel spent a year doing video production with the New York Islanders, where he created videos, graphics, and animation for the Jumbotron and LED halos. Samell also worked in the control room during his time with the Islanders. In 2008-09, Samel spent a season interning with NESN doing statistics for the Hockey East Association broadcast truck and working in the production truck for the Boston Bruins. Samel also worked in Nashville doing broadcast and video production, as well game-day statistics for the Predators in 2007-08.
Samel began his video production and college career at the University of Southern California in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He was a broadcaster for the Trojans Division II Club Hockey Team and worked as a technical director and producer for Annenberg TV News.
Samel currently resides in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
